The StartMeeting family of mobile applications require access to various Android device functions in order to provide you with quality call experiences. It is important for you, the user, to understand why our mobile apps are accessing such functions.
This page identifies which functions are used by each mobile application and why such permissions are requested.

| READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE | This functions allow the application to store and cache specific information on your device such as country flags & voice prompts. | ||||
| WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE | This functions allow the application to store and cache specific information on your device such as country flags & voice prompts. | ||||
| READ_PHONE_STATE | This allows an application to be aware of the state of the native phone dialer (i.e. if there is an incoming or outgoing call) so that a SIP call can be properly handled, such as merge, or place on hold while the native dialer is in use on the device | ||||
| READ_CONTACTS | This function allows the application to access the user's contacts and store conference participants into your device's address book. | ||||
| CALL_PHONE | This function allows the application to access your native dialer directly through the app in order to dial the specific phone number selected. | ||||
| GET_ACCOUNTS | This allows the application to access the user's email address associated to the device to pre-fill form fields during Login or Signup. | ||||
| INTERNET | This function allows the application to use your data connection instead of the device’s dial plan. The user must configure the application accordingly. | ||||
| ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | This function allows the application to monitor the state of the network. | ||||
| WAKE_LOCK | This function allows the application to prevent the device from sleeping and allows the application to remain active in background during an active VoIP call. | ||||
| BLUETOOTH | This function allows the application to route audio to a Bluetooth device. | ||||
| BROADCAST_STICKY | This function allows the application to efficiently process incoming requests. | ||||
| CHANGE_WIFI_STATE | This function prevents the wifi module from sleeping and allows the application to transfer data while in the background during an active VoIP call. |
